Today's Star: Amanda Peet

With several recent high-profile projects on her resume, Amanda Peet continues to see her star rise in both television and film. In addition to starring on "Jack & Jill," she is currently in production on Columbia TriStar's "Saving Silverman," in which she stars with Steve Zahn, Jack Black and Jason Biggs. Peet gained critical acclaim for her work on the feature film "The Whole Nine Yards," opposite Bruce Willis and Matthew Perry. Consistently working, Peet can be seen in "Body Shots," a film about L.A. nightlife, in which she appears opposite Sean Patrick Flanery, Brad Rowe and Jerry O'Connell. Peet also stars in the big-screen thriller "Takedown," opposite Skeet Ulrich, and the independent feature "Jump," opposite James LeGros, Hal Linden, Mike McGlone and Ione Skye. And she appears in "Isn't She Great," a film that boasts an all-star cast, including Bette Midler, Stockard Channing and David Hyde Pierce. Peet's past film credits include Ed Burns' romantic comedy "She's the One," playing Jennifer Aniston's sister; "One Fine Day," as an amorous co-worker after George Clooney; and "Simply Irresistible," with Sarah Michelle Gellar and Sean Patrick Flanery. Peet also appears in the independent features "Whipped," "Two Ninas" and "Southie" with Donnie Wahlberg and Rose McGowen. Peet's television credits include the Hallmark Hall of Fame television movie "Ellen Foster" with Julie Harris, a recurring role on "Central Park West" and guest appearances on "Seinfeld," "Law & Order," "The Single Guy" and "Spin City." Born and raised in Manhattan, Peet currently divides her time between New York City and Los Angeles.
